HR Recruitment & HR Operations Team

Where are we located:

The HR Operations and Recruitment teams are based at Department W on the second floor, in the HR village (desks 2.73 to 2.96).

Meet the teams:

The Management Team 

The HR Operations and Recruitment Team is overseen by Head of HR Operations and Recruitment who is supported by an HR Operations Manager, a Recruitment Manager, an HR Deputy Operations Manager, an International Employment Compliance Adviser and three Team Leaders.

The HR Recruitment Team

The Recruitment team will be responsible for all recruitment administration from the vacancy request, advertising stage through to managing all pre-employment checks and the collation of new starter documentation. This will include below: 

·         Internal and External Recruitment

·         Named Researchers

·         New Starters

·         Additional Contracts (only for those resulting from campaigns/vacancies raised via Oleeo)

·         Right to Work Checks for New Starters

·         DBS Checks for New Starters

·         Redeployments

·         Re-Engagements

·         Honorary and Visiting Titles

·         Certificate of Sponsorships for New Starters and Re-Engagements

The HR Operations Team

HR Operations team will be looking after the employees through their whole lifecycle from the date that the employees start to when they leave the university. This will include below: 

·         Contract Variations including Extension of Fixed term/Temporary Contract, Fixed term/Temporary to Permanent Contract, Acting-Up Allowances, Job Regrade / Promotion / Transfer / Demotion, Secondment, Change of Hours, Additional Responsibility 

·         Additional Contracts (only for requests raised via Contract Variation Requests on Oleeo)

·         Certificate of Sponsorships for Extensions   

·         Leave Requests (unpaid, sabbatical etc) 

·         Family Friendly Requests 

·         TUPEs 

·         Terminations and Retirements

·         FTC and Probation Notices  

·         Sickness

·         Emeritus Titles 

·         Overpayments and Underpayments 

 

·         References 

·         Increments/Pay Progressions 

·         Salary Sacrifice Schemes (Childcare and Nursery)

·         DBS Renewals 

All Temporary Engagements including TATFs will sit under both Recruitment and HR Operations Team. Each request will be reviewed and processed accordingly.
