College Publishes a new Disability Equality Scheme

Published:

The College's second Disability Scheme and Action Plan (2010-2013) enables Queen Mary to plan and deliver the actions it needs to promote equality and diversity for all staff and students with and without disabilities.  The Disability Discrimination (Amendment) Act 2005 requires Queen Mary and all public authorities, to publish a Disability Equality Scheme.

The scheme has specific goals for achieving equality and sets out the actions Queen mary will take to meet them.  The scheme reflects actions that will be taken to address issues raised by staff and students during the scheme consultation process.  By placing disability equality at its heart, Queen Mary can be sure that it provides a good service to all its students and provides a positive working environment for staff.  For more information
