Equalities Impact Assessment

Queen Mary has a legal obligation to fulfil the requirements of the Equality Act 2010. Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) is a tool for measuring how far we are meeting these obligations and for identifying and addressing any inadvertent discrimination or disadvantage for protected groups.

EIAs allow us to understand the effect of Queen Mary’s policies, procedures and outcomes on staff and students from different groups, to report on the findings and identify and reduce any adverse impact, where possible.
