By being more aware of what is going on around you and taking a moment to think about your own thoughts and feelings can help to re-affirm your life priorities. Better awareness means you will make stronger, more positive choices which are based firmly on your own values.
In a world of social media and technology, it can be really easy to miss what is happening around you in the present moment if you are just staring at your phone screen.

How else can you take notice at Queen Mary?
- Get yourself a desk plant - start by planting some seeds and watch them grow as you look after it
- Take a minute to read and engage with the all staff e-bulletins: find out what’s happening going on elsewhere in the university
- Clear the clutter – how much of that paper on your desk do you really need?
- The Chaplaincy runs Non-Religious Guided Relaxation sessions every Monday lunchtime from 1:30-2pm, for no cost.
