You plan to hire someone to join the staff of QMUL on either a permanent or fixed term contact

Employee status: Employee

Next step: Follow QMUL Recruitment process

You are going to source the person from a QMUL approved recruitment agency

Employee status: Falls outside of this process
i.e. you do not have to determine the employment status, as the agency is responsible for this.

Next step: Follow normal QMUL Procurement process for engaging someone via an agency

You would like to engage the services of a QMUL approved consultancy organisation who provide a consultant to deliver a piece of work

Employee status: Falls outside of this process
i.e. you do not have to determine the employment status, as the consultancy organisation is responsible for this.

Next step: Please contact the Procurement Team to discuss requirements

You would like to engage an individual to provide a service to support you in the delivery of a particular project

Employee status: Employee vs self-employed? Will depend on the terms of engagement.
